Medical Release

In case emergency medical treatment is needed, I give permission to the staff of the First United Methodist Church of Round Rock, or anyone acting on its behalf, to obtain necessary emergency medical treatment, by a licensed physician, hospital or clinic for my child. In providing consent, I understand that FUMC-RR does not have a medical staff on campus and that all decisions regarding the need for emergency treatment will be based upon reasonable judgment of the FUMC-RR, or its designee. I release FUMC-RR, and its staff, from any and all liability, claims, demands or causes of action related to any loss, damage or injury which may occur while my child is attending VBS.

Media Release

Unless I submit a written request to the Director of Children's Ministry by June 1, 2026, indicating otherwise, I hereby grant permission for First United Methodist Church of Round Rock to use photographs, voice recordings and video recordings (collective, the Images) of my child on the church-wide website, social media, electronic communique, displays and/or other official printed publications.

5th Grade Missions Participation Permission and Release Form

I give my permission for my student to fully participate in off campus service projects through the FUMC-RR Vacation Bible School Missions program during VBS. I understand that the students will be driven off campus by adults 25 years of age or older in private vehicles of volunteer parents. Everyone will wear seat belts and the adults will drive safely. The volunteer drivers will have completed Ministry Safe Training and have a Criminal Background check on file with the church. I thereby release and agree to indemnity and hold harmless FUMC-RR, church staff, volunteers and successors from any liability claim and/or damage arising from planned off campus activities.

5th Grade Missions Covenant of Conduct

This contract will be in force for all activities for Missions 2026, both on the church campus, during transportation, and at the community service locations. As a VBS Missions participant and representative of First United Methodist Church-RR, students must follow all event/activity rules. Students who fail to comply with these rules may be sent home and not allowed to participate the remainder of the week. By adhering to these rules, the group will run more smoothly and safely.

1. I understand that failure to follow the guidelines listed may result in my having to leave the event or mission location. My parent will be called to come to the event to pick me up, regardless of the location. Students who fail to comply with these rules may be sent home and not allowed to participate the remainder of the week.

2. A VBS Missions camper leaves a place better than he/she found it, therefore, normal cleanup is expected, and no vandalism is allowed. Respect property.

3. Each Missions camper is expected to listen to his/her VBS leader (adults & youth volunteer) and to the Mission Location adults in charge, who will be giving information and instruction. Respect each other as well as the clients at the Mission locations.

4. For safety and identification purposes, day campers need to wear VBS t-shirts (with no alterations) every day. For safety reasons, closed toe shoes are required.

5. The buddy system will be enforced at all times and day campers must notify the leader or other adult before leaving the designated meeting area.

6. Missions Campers are expected to learn to think and act for the good of the group, as opposed to only themselves. Respect and comply with event schedule.

7. No electronic devices allowed (includes cell phones, iPods, gaming devices, Kindle, etc.) during the VBS hours of 9:00-12:00. If the camper is seen using any of these devices between 9 am and 12 pm, VBS volunteers will take the device and return it at 12:00 pm.

5th Grade Missions VBS: Rainforest Falls is a unique and exciting week designed especially for 5th graders who are ready to put their faith into action. Throughout the week, students will focus on local mission projects, and on 4 out of the 5 days they will head off campus and into our community to be the hands and feet of Christ. They’ll take part in meaningful service projects that build character, strengthen their faith, and are still full of fun and excitement. Each day begins and ends right here at church in the sanctuary, where they’ll join in all the traditional VBS fun—singing, dancing, laughing, and worshiping to memorable songs alongside their friends. This Missions VBS experience blends service, faith, and fun in a powerful way, making it an unforgettable week for your 5th grader.

VBS is Monday - Friday from 9am - 12pm (On Friday, we will be done at 12:30pm. 12pm - 12:30pm will be a showcase for parents).
